Part time renaissance woman part time juggler and full time dreamer, I’m an unashamed coffee snob dancing on the precipice of my whims.
Galia has unique eye for capturing what is temporal yet everlasting. Somehow her images expose what is almost one moment past, yet eternal. They reflect a mythical and archetypal wisdom from a supremely vulnerable individual perspective. She has a talent integrating seemingly contradictory conditions. Her work is whimsical yet intense, sensual yet cerebral, literal yet impressionistic, and grounded in the natural world yet some how elusive.
She shows up as an artist not afraid of digging deep for inspiration and tackling the intrinsic complexity of her subject. She is fearless, tender and unrelenting in her representations. As we seek the extraordinary every day, Galia demonstrates that the exceptional is right here, in the present, within our own family, painted on the horizon, in the minute folds of a petal or etched in the sand by the ocean.
