YOUR SYC LIVE EVENT LEADERS:
Founder of Seek Your Course, Jess Greene, started life after college as a middle school science teacher and was drawn to art through blogs and art workshops. She started Seek Your Course in 2011 with the mission to make creative experiences more accessible to the masses. Since quitting her teaching job last year she has spent a month in Spain in an artist residency, traveled around the country running the Jumpstart Creativity Tour and started teaching encaustic painting to adults.
I thrive on gut busting laughter, digging for truth, dancing in the answers, and making art that embodies all of that. I bring all that I am – homesteader, food preserver, speaker, runner, wife & mom, loyal friend, and master mess-maker to the classrooms where I teach, both brick + mortar and virtual. I spend much of my time elbow-deep in plaster, paint, metal, and wood, creating the images in my head that crave to be born. With plaster on my hands and a paint-covered apron on, I write all about my life and my messy art making on my blog. On my less-messy days, I stand in front of audiences creating art with my words, to bring each listener into a place of solid, fiery confidence in their own creative adventures. You can find me on my blog at stephanielee.typepad.com
